Reading Notes

Skip Schukmann

Before:
1. Where do his ideas come from for his installations?
2. Does he do any other type of artwork besides installations?
3. What is his background?

After:
1. How long has he been using the "one on one" process?
2. Does he ever do artwork that does not involve nature and plainness?
3. Does he regret not working with society as a whole? or is he happy with his relationships he builds with his clients?

I think Schukmann is a very smart man. His idea with working with a client one on one and working with nature is great. He spends less money without having to buy supplies and he creates a great relationship with his clients. I just wish that some of his artwork would be directed to the public so that everyone could see what artwork he has done.

Betsy Damon

Before:
1. Does all of her artwork have to do with nature?
2. What possessed her to create landscape plans?
3. Does she work with any other medium?

After:
1. Does she regret leaving painting?
2. I wonder if she feels strongly about anything else like she does about water? For example air or food?
3. How long did it take to finish the water park?

I think Damon is a great artist and great person. All the time and effort she put in to make a point about water and to try to improve the water in China is amazing. The water park is such a great artwork. I think her leaving painting was a great step for her.
